Medicare can feel overwhelming. Granen Insurance helps you compare Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plans in plain language, so you understand costs, networks, and drug coverage before you enroll.
Which Medicare Path Fits You?
Choose based on doctors, travel, and budget
Prefer nationwide flexibility with no networks? Many choose Original Medicare + Supplement + Part D. Want an all-in-one plan with added benefits like dental or vision? Advantage may fit. We’ll check your doctors and prescriptions, estimate total costs, and explain trade-offs so you can choose confidently.

Know your Medicare timelines
Enrollment Windows
The right coverage often comes down to timing. Use these windows to enroll in Medicare Advantage, add a Medicare Supplement, or choose Part D plans with confidence.
Initial Enrollment Period:
Seven months around your 65th birthday. It starts three months before your birth month, includes that month, and ends three months after. Enroll in Parts A and B, then select Advantage and Part D if you choose.
Medigap Open Enrollment:
Begins the first month you are 65 or older and have Part B. Lasts six months. This is the easiest time to buy a Supplement without health questions in most cases. Carriers allow purchase 3-6 months prior to Part B start date to lock in premium rates
Annual Enrollment Period:
October 15 to December 7 each year. Review or change Medicare Advantage and Part D for the coming year.
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment:
January 1 to March 31. If you are already in Advantage, you can switch plans or go back to Original Medicare and add Part D.
General Enrollment Period:
January 1 to March 31 for Part A and Part B if you missed earlier. Coverage starts after you enroll and late penalties may apply.
Special Enrollment Periods:
Certain life events open extra time to enroll or switch, such as a move, loss of employer coverage, plan changes, or qualification for Extra Help.
